John Hearn's (Staff 70 – 73) participation in the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival 2025 is a testament to his dedication to the sport, despite facing physical challenges. Representing Essex Seniors, he is set to play three group stage matches, starting with today's game against Cheshire Seniors. While his knee replacement recovery is commendable, the unfortunate condition of his other knee means he will focus solely on batting, leaving behind his renowned swing bowling for this tournament
The hope for match reports from John adds an engaging element to the festival, offering insights into Essex’s journey through the group stages and potentially the knockout rounds.
